Let's Stop Talking About Components: Lumens Goes Next Level at InfoComm 2026

For years, Lumens — along with much of the AV industry — has focused on building better components: better cameras, smarter control systems, or more efficient ways to move signals between devices.

At InfoComm 2026, that mindset changed.

▶ 1. A Step Change for AV

What Lumens has unveiled is a fundamental shift in how we think about AV systems. While some dismiss AI as a buzzword, Lumens is demonstrating its real-world impact — transforming AV from a collection of integrated tools into intelligent, adaptive solutions.
This is more than evolution. It's a step change.

▶ 2. Boardroom Solutions

First Step: AV Integration

In 2024, Lumens introduced CamConnect, now widely deployed in boardrooms and meeting spaces across the globe. The system improves meeting engagement by automatically focusing cameras on active speakers and smoothly switching between them to follow the conversation.

Using third-party array microphones, CamConnect captures real-time Direction of Arrival (DOA) data to determine where each participant is located. These positions are mapped against a predefined room layout, enabling a broadcast-style production that feels natural and professional.

Next Level: Full Automation

At InfoComm 2026, Lumens introduced CamConnect 200, adding the BC-200 visual analysis camera to the solution.

With AI-powered visual recognition, the system can now identify speakers directly and match this data with microphone DOA input in real time. The result is a system that no longer requires predefined room layouts or seating maps.

Rooms can now be arranged freely, adapting to each meeting — rather than forcing meetings to conform to AV constraints.

This is the shift from automated production to intelligent configuration.

First Step: IP Integration

The VC-TR60A is a Microsoft Teams–certified 4K PTZ camera with built-in voice tracking. Designed for huddle rooms, it automatically follows conversations or presentations, helping remote participants stay engaged and interact more naturally.

A popular configuration pairs the camera with a Lumens IP decoder. This compact unit receives the camera’s IP video stream along with audio from Dante-enabled microphones on the local network. A single USB-C connection links everything to a BYOM laptop, enabling seamless integration with platforms like Teams and Zoom.

Next Level: Full Automation

At InfoComm 2026, Lumens expanded this concept with VoiceConnect 200, a fully automated multi-camera solution.

VoiceConnect 200 combines up to three VC-TR60A cameras with the OIP-N60D decoder, using AI to automatically switch between cameras based on the active speaker. The result is a polished, multi-angle experience delivered through a single USB-C connection.

For users, the experience is effortless:

  • No manual switching
  • No preset configurations
  • No technical setup

Just plug in and instantly deliver a meeting experience that feels closer to live broadcast than a typical webcam call.

▶ 4. Learning Solutions

The journey began with a demand for fully autonomous eLearning environments.Lumens already offered key building blocks:

Customers combined these tools to create semi-automated teaching environments, integrated with platforms such as Panopto and Kaltura.

▶ 5. A New Era for AV

InfoComm 2026 marks a turning point.

AV is no longer just about connecting devices — it’s about creating systems that understand, adapt, and respond. Lumens is moving beyond integration to deliver intelligent, fully autonomous solutions across corporate, meeting, and education environments.

AV hasn't just improved. It has moved to the next level.
