Lumens adds Dante, PIP and Switching to its Dual 4K PTZ

Hsinchu, Taiwan, August 27, 2025 – Lumens today announced the availability of a complimentary upgrade to its VC-TR61 PTZ camera. Available via firmware update, new features include picture-in-picture output, 4K camera switching over HDMI and optional Dante streaming.

VC-TR61 is an AI-based dual 4K PTZ camera with AI-based subject detection and auto-framing. Its twin camera design facilitates precise motion-tracking, and the output of independent video streams over IP. Importantly, the new firmware enables the unit to switch HDMI output between the main and the panoramic camera. It is also now able to generate a composite picture-in-picture (PIP) image from the two cameras.

The firmware also enables the upgrade of the camera as a Dante Ready device. With the installation of an optional license, VC-TR61 is recognized and controlled on Dante networks and is able to stream Dante AV-H video across IP networks. This delivers the secure management that corporate and public sector organizations need to protect their media assets and benefit from a common routing interface for both audio and video.
