Hsinchu, Taiwan, August 6, 2025 – Lumens Digital Optics Inc is adding a powerful new suite of picture effects to its range of IP, NDI and Dante AV-H mini decoders. An important update to the OIP-N60D and OIP-N60D Dante AV-H sees the addition of tools including picture-in-picture (PIP) and picture-by-picture (PBP) output, as well as support for video wall layouts. The new firmware also includes talkback over IP, enhancing communication amongst AV team members.
The Lumens OIP decoder range are network-based devices that convert 4K and HD AV streams to USB and HDMI. With this free update, users can select any two streams and generate a single composite output via HDMI with a choice of layouts. Combining two videos in one can enhance communications in video conferencing sessions, hybrid meetings, classrooms, interviews and interrogations.
“Displaying multiple sources simultaneously is a core requirement for AV professionals but for years, support has been limited to analog, HDMI and SDI sources. With this development, Lumens can now offer a very cost-effective PIP solution for network video. Alongside the PIP and PBP tools, the new firmware enables support for IP video walls, using multiple Lumens OIP decoders. Screens can be arranged in landscape or portrait mode, giving users the flexibility to create the public information, video monitoring or advertising display system they require. Leveraging the drag-and-drop simplicity of Lumens’ complimentary Routing Switching software application, users can select the sources and layout that best fit their communication need.
The firmware update is available from the Lumens website now. The Routing Switcher application can be also downloaded at www.MyLumens.com.
